Unified Network Platform

Blueprint RF develops network solutions for the hospitality industry. At the network core Blueprint RF introduces a new and revolutionary platform - Dominion. Dominion is an onsite appliance providing an impressive list of rich features such as circuit load balancing, gateway authentication, and flexible packet shaping policy management, all on one seamless platform. In addition, Dominion captures energy use data from the hotel’s major building appliances to create energy monitoring and management services (e.g. HVAC, electrical, boilers, pumps, etc.). Read more

Network Services Focus

While energy monitoring and control solutions top the list of hospitality concerns today, other technologies such as guest connectivity solutions are equally important to the industry. With an ever increasing number of today’s tech-savvy hotel guests carrying an abundance of various mobile devices, a new generation of travelers are checking into hotels with every kind of connected gadget.

Hoteliers are continuously challenged to find ways to integrate and support consumer devices into the existing in-room environment to create a better guest experience.

Adopting a new network platform is a way hotels can distinguish themselves from its competitors. By creating a better environment that helps guests get and stay connected, and by offering the hi-tech setting they have grown accustomed to at home, hoteliers can increase guest loyalty and boost revenues.

Blueprint RF introduced the right network platform for today’s demanding guests. Blueprint RF approaches network design with clear goals in mind, forward thinking network design, robust equipment choices, prompt and courteous support services, and high bandwidth availability for all guests. These are key success ingredients for pleasing today’s tech-savvy guests. Read more

Energy Focus

In today’s economic climate few industries have been more adversely impacted than hospitality. While revenues are down, energy costs continue to increase, a 3.5% increase for the same period. Hotels spend nearly $5 billion per year on energy, now representing 4% to 7% of top line revenues and growing. Hotel managers are more motivated than ever to cut energy costs. However, many of today’s energy management solutions are far too expensive, requiring substantial capital investment. As a result, while industry interest remains very high, actual adoption has been slow.

New advances in building energy management now directly leverage the core IP network backbone for delivery and execution. Led by Cisco, traditional IP switches and wireless access points are able to bi-directionally communicate with all major facility systems, including HVAC, lighting, pumps, boilers, etc. This is possible through use of a newly unveiled Cisco device, the Cisco Mediator. The Cisco Mediator economically connects all major building appliances allowing disparate system operating languages to communicate and collaborate, by translating all to TCP/IP. TCP/IP data traffic is then captured and contextualized via local appliance, Blueprint RF’s Dominion, and ported to its paired, cloud-hosted application for monitoring and management.
